(via JoveFrancisco) Never mind that the newly borrowed voting scheme made the opinion of bloggers sort of irrelevant. I’m still blogging about this week’s Philippine Idol performance night because, as the opening group number declared: it was really a night to remember!
I went out of the Philippine Idol Theater (SM Megamall Cinema 3) pretty satisfied with the show. In my opinion, it was the best (PI) show so far.
There were less live show gaffes. Blockings and use of stage and theater were evidently well conceptualized. Dancers. Grand Piano. The appearance by some of the San Miguel Philharmonic Orchestra for added musicality and drama. Rehearsed and well thought of camerawork. Less pretentious song arrangements. And more importantly, very impressive performances from 8 of the 9 Idol hopefuls.
